In Sripur, a prayer meeting was held on the 48th birthday of Khan Selim Rahman, the founding president of Bangladesh Central Press Club (B.C.P.C), the editor of the national daily Matri Jagat newspaper.
At Madrasa Abu Hurayra (R.A.) in Sripur, Gazipur.

On the occasion of the 48th birthday of Khan Selim Rahman, the founding president of Bangladesh Central Press Club (B.C.P.C), the editor of the national daily Matri Jagat and Bangladesh Crime Sangbad newspapers, and the founding chairman of Matri Jagat IP Television, the peddler of humanity, wishing him good health and long life.
The event was organized at Madrasa Abu Hurayra (RA) by Sheikh Md. Humayun Kabir, Chief Reporter of the National Daily Matrijogat and Secretary of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Central Press Club (B.C.P.C).
Khan Selim Rahman was supposed to join the prayer mahfil virtually on his birthday, wishing him good health and long life, but he could not join as he was busy with urgent work.
The event was attended by Muhtamim Maulana Al-Amin (Hujur), founder of Madrasa Abu Hurayra (RA), Md. Atiqur Rahman (LLB), editor and publisher of Daily Ameer Darpan, Md. Rakib Sheikh, special correspondent of the national daily Matrijogat and permanent member of the central committee of Bangladesh Central Press Club (B.C.P.C), Md. Alamgir Hossain Sagar, staff reporter of the national daily Matrijogat, Md. Shamim Al Mamun, staff reporter of the national daily Matrijogat, Md. Ayasel Hossain Fahim, Sreepur correspondent of Daily Swadhin Bangla and permanent member of the central committee of Bangladesh Central Press Club (B.C.P.C), Haji Asaduzzaman, staff reporter of Daily Bangladesh Crime Sangbad, and all the teachers and students of this madrasa.

The most respected peddler of humanity (Khan Selim Rahman Sir) is not just a media personality, he is an honest, sincere and humane leader. Under his visionary leadership, the Bangladesh Central Press Club was established, which is today playing a major role in protecting the rights of journalists in the country and in their professional development. Khan Selim Rahman Sir’s relentless work in serving humanity is an exemplary example for all of us. His contribution to human rights, social development and the advancement of media is highly commendable.
On his birthday, we have organized this prayer for his good health, long life and future success.
In a joyful atmosphere, the event was concluded with the prayers of the founder of Madrasa Abu Hurayra (RA), all the teachers, the Quran bird Hafez students and all the students.
